Health, Dental, and Life Insurance for Service Members

TRICARE® is the health care program serving Uniformed Service members, retirees and their families worldwide. TRICARE® is available to active-duty Service members and retirees of the seven uniformed services, their family members, survivors and others who are registered in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS).

TRICARE® is also available to National Guard/Reserve members and their families.  Benefits will vary depending on the sponsor's military status.

DENTAL INSURANCE

The Military Health System is responsible for the assurance of the overall oral health of all uniformed service members.  Dental care is available to all active duty members through their servicing military dental treatment facility.  The TRICARE® Dental Program (TDP) is a voluntary, high-quality, cost-effective dental care benefit for eligible family members of all active duty Uniformed Service members as well as Reserve Component Service members and/or their families.

LIFE INSURANCE

Servicemembers Group Life Insurance (SGLI) is a program that provides low-cost term life insurance coverage to eligible Service members.  If eligible, you are automatically issued the maximum SGLI coverage.

If you qualify for SGLI, you are automatically enrolled and do not need to apply for coverage.
