We believe that differences in thought and belief, race and religion, in gender and orientation, and ability and experience contribute to more effective mission success and an overall better work environment. One that enhances the DTRA employee experience and allows us to better connect with both our fellow colleagues and our international partners in order to get the job done – without barriers.

DTRA is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity.

Director Ms. Hersman

“I have built a life and a professional career around ensuring the perspectives and contributions from all walks of life are respected and valued while also dealing with their complexity. Our greatest wealth is in our people – all of them, working as a team, with due consideration and respect for what each brings to the table.”

– DTRA Director Rebecca Hersman

DTRA is committed to a Diverse Workforce representing every color, race, religion, gender, orientation, ability, and talent in our DTRA family. This includes our scientists, WMD subject matter experts, military members, and analysts. Each team member brings a unique skillset, experience, and perspective to their work. This enables DTRA to achieve our mission most effectively.
