Orders to Report

Welcome to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).

Our mission is one of unparalleled importance, and its success is solely dependent upon our most valuable resource – our people. Everyone at DTRA performs an important role. The work we do has the power to change the future. DTRA Senior Leaders are committed to your success, and we excited to have you join us in pursuit of our critical mission.

We want to make your transition as easy as possible. By following this link you can access helpful information to begin working on prior to your arrival. It explains what you need to do before your first day, as well as how we will help you get ready for your new responsibilities. If at anytime you have questions regarding onboarding, your Sponsor and your Supervisor should be your first line of support. You may also contact your Human Resources Specialist, or e-mail dtra.belvoir.hr.mbx.onboarding@mail.mil .

Welcome to our team!

On your first day at DTRA, you will be greeted by your Sponsor, who will assist you with signing into the building. Afterwards, you will be provided a formal introduction to the organization and attend Orientation (to include in-processing), given a tour of the office facilities, introduced to your co-workers, setup in your new work space, and provided an opportunity to meet with your new supervisor. Service members will complete service-related in-processing.

When reporting for your first day of duty, you are required to have your Common Access Card (CAC), Orders, Leave Form (depending on your Service), and additional items required for in-processing outlined in Service regulations and instructions.

Wireless and electronic devices, including USB flash drives, are prohibited in the building. Electronic devices must be left in your vehicle, or must be turned off prior to entering the building and stored in the lockers located in the main lobby.

DTRA is based at the Defense Threat Reduction Center (DTRC), located at 8725 John J. Kingman Road, Fort Belvoir, Virginia on the campus of the McNamara Headquarters Complex (HQC).
