Project the Agency's knowledge and capabilities in order to combat the threat of Weapons of Mass Destruction and emerging threats and to ensure nuclear deterrence.
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT & TECHNOLOGY DIRECTORATE
DTRA CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER:
Provides Agency guidance to enable DTRA mission capabilities and ensure Agency compliance with DoD IT Reform Efforts; oversees IT Governance & Portfolio Management, IT budget formulation and resource reporting, acquisition planning and reviews, and exercise planning support and evaluation
MISSION INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICES:
Provides IT capabilities not supported by DoD; Rapid Mission IT network configurations – ramp up or down as needed, using advanced cybersecurity tools; early adopter of Agile & DevSecOps for rapid development and delivery; advanced computing for big data
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT (KM) & DIGITAL SERVICES:
Centralized Data-Information-KM to provide timely, relevant and trusted data; visualization tools in lieu of new applications development; culture change to Knowledge Workers using data analytics/science and low-code/no-code tools
DTRA MANAGED ACAT III PROGRAMS OF RECORD:
Mission Assurance Risk Management System (MARMS): Risk-informed decision-making, resource investment, and improved synchronization across DoD Mission Assurance-related programs
The Catapult Information System provides national-level capabilities for data and information discovery, access, aggregation, correlation, visualization, analysis, sharing, and distribution to provide mission support to users from the strategic level to the tactical edge in countering and deterring threat actors and threat networks. Catapult will continue to rapidly evolve and expand the capabilities of DTRA’s ‘big data’ platform.
