THE CHEMICAL & BIOLOGICAL DEFENSE PROGRAM
The Chemical and Biological Defense Program (CBDP) is a DoD-wide effort to develop and acquire capabilities that counter weapons of mass destruction (WMD). As part of an integrated and layered defense, the capabilities are for use in missions ranging from combat operations to domestic incident prevention and response efforts supported by the DoD. The mission of the CBDP is to anticipate future threats and deliver capabilities that enable the Joint Force to fight and win in chemical or biological-contested environments.
