WHAT WE DO
The Combat Support Directorate provides common operational understanding, validates requirements, manages Combatant Command and Interagency liaison, ensures ready and deployable teams, and executes cross-directorate coordination to enable DoD, the U. S. Government, and International Partners to counter and deter Weapons of Mass Destruction and Improvised Threat Networks.
COMBAT SUPPORT OPERATIONS
OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT (CZ-OD)
DTRA Joint Operations Department maintains 24/7 global situational awareness, manages/coordinates information dissemination, executes DTRA alerts, notifications, recall procedures, maintains access to WMD and Improvised Threat subject matter experts, tracks and supports all DTRA travelers, and executes transition to crisis response and continuity of operations.
GLOBAL INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT (CZ-GI)
In concert with the National Defense Strategy and as a Combat Support Agency, the DTRA Global Integration Center (GIC) facilitates communication, information sharing, and situational awareness/understanding across the DTRA Enterprise in order to ensure cross Directorate coordinated operations, activities, investments are executed in support of Combatant Command prioritized requirements.
EXERCISES AND ASSESSMENT DEPARTMENT (CZ-EA)
Develop, manage and execute DTRA’s Joint Training Program to conduct collective staff training and Agency mission readiness reporting in accordance with the DoD Joint Training Policy, in order to prepare DTRA to successfully conduct operations in support of the warfighter.
