WHAT WE DO
The Joint Improvised Threat Defeat Organization applies advanced information technology, all-source intelligence and operational research analytics, operations and planning, interagency and partner coordination, and training support to enable the Department of Defense to counter improvised threats and their supporting facilitation networks.
COUNTER-IMPROVISED THREAT ADVANCED ANALYTICS
Applies advanced information technology that enables intelligence and operational research analytics that inform the Combatant Commands (CCMD) of emerging improvised threats and their supporting facilitation networks for their immediate operational actions and enable interagency and coalition partners with their access, authorities, and capabilities to disrupt threat facilitation networks.
OPERATIONS AND PLANNING
Coordinates and synchronizes the delivery of counter improvised threat capabilities to the CCMDs and their deployed US Joint Forces; and supports CCMD operational planning requirements.
TRAINING AND EDUCATION
Provides counter improvised threat training to deploying and deployed US Joint Forces; trains and certifies counter threat network analysts; builds foreign partner capabilities and capacity in accordance with Combatant Command priorities; and supports priority CCMD training exercises.
